Please note that we are moving to the recently adopted WGI seeding procedure where performances are randomized within each round and rounds are also then randomized.
Option 1: Same format as this year with adjustments to the seeding procedure for championships. The seeding from East/West Championships to Circuit Championships will be the same as the new WGI seeding procedure. Units will be sorted into rounds based on their most recent score (adding 1.5 points for each missed competitive week.) Once rounds are determined by the Contest Director, each rounds performance order will be a random draw. Rounds will also be randomized.Option 2: We will still do two sites for a preliminary/qualifier round. These sites will be geographically close to one another (same side of state/same area). Classes will be divided among each site to allow for ease of scheduling. This could mean all Regional Classes at one site and A and Open classes at the second site or Regional B, Scholastic B and Open Classes at one site and everyone else at the second site. This will allow for each unit of a class to have the same judging panel throughout the class. Seeding for Circuit Championships will then work as described above.
Option 3: Exactly how we did it this year with the added WGI seeding changes for the Preliminary rounds.
